Baby Elephant Rescued from Manhole

elephant-trappedIt isn’t just pedestrians in Thailand who need to watch their step. In Rayong province (east of Bangkok) a baby elephant discovered what pedestrians in Thailand have known for a while – manhole covers aren’t always replaced when they should be. In this instance, the unfortunate elephant fell down a manhole in a drainage ditch. Fortunately, the story does have a happy ending. After 3 hours of work, a team of rescuers finally succeeded in freeing the trapped animal.
