British Couple Attacked on Yacht in Southern Thailand

A British couple have been attacked whilst aboard their yacht in southern Thailand. It has been reported that 64-year-old Malcolm Robertson was killed and then thrown overboard by three men who had boarded the yacht and were attempting to steal the yacht’s dinghy. The attack took place off the coast of Satun in the south of Thailand close to the Malaysian border. Malcolm and Linda Robertson, both experienced yachtsmen, were moored in the Andaman Sea off the remote Thai island of Ko Dong when the tragedy unfolded. They were en route from Phuket to the Malaysian island of Langkawi.

Thai police have arrested three Burmese men who have confessed to the murder of Mr Robertson after being caught in possession of the dinghy and credit cards belonging to the British couple.
