King’s Health Improves
Thailand’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej is reported to be on the way to a full recovery following his admission to hospital in Bangkok last weekend. The King no longer has a fever and blood test results have been normal. Although the condition of the monarch was never deemed to be serious, any news of his ill health is a major cause of concern for patriotic Thais. During the week, public and private ceremonies have been held throughout Thailand to wish the 81-year-old King a speedy recovery.
