Skirmishes on Thailand-Cambodia Border

At least three Thai soldiers and three Cambodian soldiers have been killed this morning as military forces from both sides clashed in a disputed border area. The fighting took place near Ta Krabey temple which is approximately 200km west of another disputed temple, Preah Vihear.

The latest incident is one of a series of ongoing border clashes that have taken place between the neighbouring countries over the years. Both Thailand and Cambodia have laid claim to land which has not been formally demarcated along the border. In February, Thai and Cambodian forces were involved in fighting which lasted for four days in the Preah Vihear area.
