Thailand’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej was admitted to hospital in Bangkok at the weekend. The Royal Household Bureau have reported that the 81-year-old monarch is suffering from a fever, fatigue and loss of appetite. His condition does not appear to be serious, but any news of ill health for the king is a cause of concern for Thai people. As the news spread today, crowds of well-wishers gathered outside Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok where the king is being treated.
