Filmed on location in Phuket, Krabi and Khao Lak, ‘The Impossible’ is based on the true story of one family’s experience during the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004. Starring Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts, the film is scheduled for general release in December 2012. The North American première of the movie will be held at the Toronto Film Festival next month.
Directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, the film is the work of a Spanish production company and a Spanish-language version is set to be released in October under the title, ‘Lo Imposible’.
