Thawan Duchanee, owner and creator of Chiang Rai’s Baan Dam (Black House), died today aged 74. Honoured as a National Artist of Thailand, Thawan passed away this morning in Bangkok.
Baan Dam in Chiang Rai remained open today to allow visitors to pay their respects and continue to enjoy his unique artistic legacy.
