A major new shopping mall recently opened in Pattaya. The airport-themed shopping centre becomes the third of its kind in Thailand with Terminal 21 malls also located at Asoke in central Bangkok and in the city of Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat). Another Terminal 21 mall is scheduled to open in south Bangkok, near the Chao Phraya River, in 2022.
Shoppers will find a range of local and international brands at Terminal 21 along with an array of restaurants ranging from Thai to Italian. And with two airplanes outside and replicas of famous world landmarks like the Eiffel Tower inside, Pattaya’s new mall is likely to be an instant hit with selfie-loving visitors. Security guards dressed in airport uniforms greet customers at the entrance and each floor is a ‘destination’. As you travel up on the escalators each new level has an international theme with London, Tokyo, Paris and San Fransisco all featured. The fourth floor is ‘Hollywood Street’ and the place to go to catch up with the latest movies at the comfortable SFX Cinema.
Pattaya is already home to a number of shopping malls including Central Festival, Royal Garden Plaza and Central Marina with the latter just a short walk away from Terminal 21.
Grande Centre Point Hotel
Describing itself as a ‘destination within a destination’, Centre Point Hotel rises 32 stories above Terminal 21 and has direct access to the mall. The hotel features a waterpark to keep youngsters amused while the impressive Sky 32 rooftop restaurant will appeal to foodies.
